Project Quantity Surveyor
Glebe Builders is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential projects across the Northwest.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Team, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects from commencement to final account.
- Prepare and issue subcontract packages and subcontract orders.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare client valuations and assess subcontractor applications for payment.
- Manage variations, change orders and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and cashflow.
- Prepare commercial reports and forecasts.
- Attend commercial and project meetings.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider project team.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Essential requirements for the ideal Candidate;
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Full driving licence.
